Bill Baker began a very successful softball coaching career in 1980 with women’s major travel ball.  In the 5 years of coaching at this level, he celebrated victories over national teams from China, Japan and Canada.  Many of the players he coached during this time are now coaching at the high school and collegiate level.

 

In 1996, Bill took on the challenge of coaching youth travel ball at the 12u level.  In 1999 he won his first national championship at the Pony Nationals.  From 2001-2006 Bill stepped to the highest level in travel ball coaching taking on an 18u gold team.  Every graduating senior from his team was offered an athletic scholarship.

Bill works in the motion picture business and has shot many movies including:

Ghostbusters, Back to the Future 2 and 3, Rush Hour 2, Titanic, Beverly Hills 90210, Jag and is currently shooting for the show NCIS.

With such an extensive background in filming movies and television shows, Bill has taken this knowledge and produced and directed instructional videos for Mike Candrea, Stacey Nuveman and Leah O’Brien Amico.  Bill has also shot over 100 skills videos. 


 


Heather Meyer played collegiate softball for the University of Washington.  In 1996 she received the honors of 1st Team All American, 1st Team All Pac 10 and pitched in the College World Series where the Huskies placed 2nd.  Prior to that, Heather played for Antelope Valley Junior College where she was Southern California Pitcher of the Year in 1993 and California State Pitcher of the Year and Foothill Conference Pitcher of the Year in 1994.  In 1994, she posted a 20-6 record with a 0.22 ERA.

From 2001-2005, Heather coached at California State University, Northridge as first assistant coach.  Her primary responsibility was working with the Matador pitching staff and catchers.  She also participated heavily in the recruiting process by watching player profile videos, attending 18u tournaments nationwide, answering emails to prospective student athletes and placing calls to contact high school players. 

 

Heather currently volunteers at camps and clinics in the Southern California area and gives private pitching instruction to girls age 9-19.  All of her graduated seniors are currently playing college softball.
